Puglia to Basilicata
We started the trip traveling down the coast of Salento. We found ourselves alone at some of the most pristine waters we have ever seen and the unique mix of history and nature that so signifies Italy. The coasts were lined with an overwhelming amounts of torre and grotta, but we knew, whichever one we choose to visit, will amaze us. At every stop, we were reminded the power of mother nature and the stories of ancestors that filled these places.
Another sight that marks this stretch of our adventure are the quiet, little, seemingly forgotten Italian towns, tucked away from the world. Getting lost in the zig zag, messy streets, listening to the wind blowing through the alleys and watching neighbors chat through their balconies, were the little moments that made me feel the energy of these towns.
