Product Overview

Earth Hero is a mobile app that empowers individuals to take action against climate change. With our app, you can easily calculate your personal carbon footprint and gain access to a wide range of daily actions that can make a real difference.

At Earth Hero, we believe in the power of education. We have brought together an international team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to providing the knowledge and resources needed to tackle the climate crisis head-on. We understand that understanding climate change and knowing what steps to take can feel overwhelming. That's why we're here to guide you through the journey, making it a little less daunting.

My Role

As a Product Manager, I am responsible for the mobile app (iOS & Android) and the web app. I am currently leading the launch of the web app MVP. I set the product scope and lead the design and development teams through the product lifecycle.

To ensure continuous progress, I break down complex design files into work breakdown structures on GitHub issues and manage our sprints.

Despite the many moving parts of the project, including a work-in-progress design system, iterating designs, and the unpredictability of an all-volunteer team, I have been able to improve our progress by 30%.

I am always eager to learn new things, so I have taken advantage of this opportunity to work on functions beyond product management. Since I started, I have also designed wireframes on Figma, worked with the UX research team to help design and execute surveys, develop analytics strategies and roadmapping SEO improvements. This has given me a valuable perspective on the entire product development process and has helped me to become a more well-rounded product manager.
