Care Recipient Monitor
Product Overview
A B2B IoT product birthed from the intertwinement of social issues: 1) a worldwide aging population 2) a growing shortage of caretakers for the elderly and 3) falls in elderlies aged 65+ often lead to detrimental physical and psychological consequences. Primary product adopters are long term care facilities and hospitals who are eagerly digitalizing their facilities to provide superior experience and a peace of mind to families.
The Care Recipient Monitor is installed above an elderly’s bed and closely monitors the patient’s status 24/7 and immediately alerts caretakers of any anomalies, such as a fall. Caretakers are able to view all elderlies’ statuses through a web dashboard and mobile application. The monitoring system uses Time-of-Flight technology to protect care recipient’s identity and leverages proprietary algorithm to identify whether the elderly has fallen, is currently in bed or is out of bed. This remote monitoring capability not only significantly reduces the response time to an emergency but also eases caretakers’ stress of overseeing an overabundance of patients.
